Is the United States planning a military strike against Iran?

So asks Spiegel Online in this article here: "Recent reports in the German media suggest that the United States may be preparing its allies for an imminent military strike against facilities that are part of Iran’s suspected clandestine nuclear weapons program."

One Response to “Is the United States planning a military strike against Iran?”

  1. The present US government is again looking for, and fabricating, reasons for agression against an independent sovereign country. This is criminal. As a signatory to the International Nuclear Agreement,Iran has the full right to process uranium for peacefull purposes.Any talk about “clandestine” nuclear programmes (surprisingly even in supposedly serious and independent papers like “Der Spiegel”) represents an unquestioned acceptance of US and Isreali propoganda. Why can other countries (like India,Pakistan,Israel, North Korea a.o.)which are not members of this nuclear agreement and process uranium for nuclear weapons can do this without criticism by the “West”?Why does the USA openly court India and cooperates with it in the nuclear field and supports an unelected military dictatorship in Pakistan but wants to forebid guaranteed rights of Iran?
The present US government is a far cry from the USA which-many years ago had a tradition of democracy and human rights.Today it stands for torture and neo-imperialistic agression whilst all the while brandishing the words of “demnocracy” and “human rights”.
Just the same as Putin does in Tschetschenia.Nobelprize winner Mr.Pinter was fully right in his acceptance speech.Bush and Blair should be tried by an international court of justice as war criminals.
