And, if it were any other situation where we may have been "participating" in an occupation, I'd be strongly in favor of an eventual pull-out. However, we created this mess-- against world opinion. It would be a travesty and a should-be-punishable crime to drop our security shield and turn our backs on Iraq before the present and continuing struggle against insurgency and civil war can be controlled by its own security forces. I’m a democrat (lacking another viable alternative to the Donkey party).
