Novartis’s leukaemia drug Tasigna receives US approval
CNN Money reports here at their website: ZURICH, Oct. 29, 2007 - Novartis AG said its leukaemia drug Tasigna (nilotinib) has been approved in the US as a new anti-cancer therapy for certain patients with a life-threatening form of leukaemia. The US health regulator approved the drug for treatment of patients with Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) who are resistant or intolerant to prior treatment, including among others Novartis’s Glivec, an established treatment standard, the Basel-based drug maker said.
