Despite High Profits, BMW Cuts 8,100 Jobs

Spiegel Online reports here: BMW is getting serious about its savings plan. The company announced on Wednesday it was cutting 8,100 jobs. In March, though, the Munich-based carmaker is expected to report record profits for 2007.
