McCain Sides with Big Oil

Spiegel Online reports here: A heated debate has erupted in the United States over oil drilling in coastal waters and Alaska. To the delight of business and the chagrin of environmentalists, President Bush and candidate John McCain are pushing to have a 26-year-old ban lifted — and fallaciously promising that the move would lower energy and gasoline prices.

  1. McCain’s got it right. The more oil we produce ourselves, the less moola
we have to give to bosom buddies like Hugo Chavez to subsidize $0.12
per liter gasoline in Venezuela and the FARC in Colombia, and to the
male chauvinists of Saudi Arabia to fund madrassas for Jihadist beheaders!
